The Mojave Desert's vast expanses, in California, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada offer a variety of scenic landscapes, many of them preserved in the U.S's national parks. The topographies and features range from red rock buttes to sand dunes and palm oases. Following a rainy winter, desert soils offer up springtime bursts of wildflowers.
